Currently, CIMB PayLater is available to Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).

Do I need to have a CIMB account to use CIMB PayLater?

No, you don’t need to be an existing CIMB customer. CIMB PayLater is open to all eligible applicants!

What is the minimum spend for CIMB PayLater?

You can use CIMB PayLater for purchases of S$500 or more.

What repayment tenures are available for CIMB PayLater?

You can choose from 3, 6, 9, 12, or 18 months, giving you flexibility to manage your payments.

How long does CIMB PayLater approval take?

It typically takes less than 10 minutes for approval.

My mailing address is different from my MyInfo records. How can I update it for CIMB PayLater?

Your mailing address for CIMB PayLater will default to your residential address in MyInfo. If you need to update it, you can do so via CIMB Clicks after your loan has been approved.

What is Singpass face verification?

Singpass face verification is a way to confirm your identity using your face. It takes a photo of you and checks it against your official photo in the government’s records to make sure it’s really you.

     

Do I have to use SingPass face verification for my CIMB PayLater application?

Yes, you do! It’s an extra security step to make sure only you can access your account and apply for the product. During the process, we’ll take a photo of you and check it against the government’s records to confirm your identity.

     

Will my CIMB Credit Card limit change after my CIMB PayLater is approved?

No, your existing credit card limit stays the same. CIMB PayLater works independently from your credit card, so it won’t use or reduce your available credit limit.

Can I change the tenure after my CIMB PayLater application is approved?

No, once your PayLater application is approved, the loan tenure is fixed and cannot be changed.

     

I was charged a processing fee. Can it be waived?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to waive the processing fee. This charge is applied consistently to all transactions to support processing costs.

     

How can I check my estimated monthly repayment amount?

You have two options:

 

1. Clicks Internet Banking

  • Log in to Clicks Internet Banking at https://www.cimbclicks.com.sg/clicks/ or the CIMB Clicks mobile app
  • Navigate to Account Enquiry > Deposits & Loans
  • Select your CIMB PayLater account number to view your instalment details

2. Check your monthly statement sent to the email address you provided during your CIMB PayLater application.

What happens if I miss a payment?

If your payment isn’t received by the due date, a late charge of S$25 will be applied. However, no interest will be charged.

 

To avoid late fees, be sure to make your payment on time. You can always check your monthly statement for your exact due date.

How do I make my monthly instalment payment?

All payments must be made to your CIMB PayLater repayment account.

 

Here are your options:

 

  1. Bank transfer: You can transfer the instalment amount via CIMB Clicks Singapore or use FAST transfer through other banks’ internet banking platforms.

  2. Cheque payment: You can make a payment via cheque to your CIMB PayLater repayment account. Ensure your repayment account has sufficient funds by the due date to avoid late fees.

  3. Standing instruction: Set up scheduled monthly payments to your CIMB PayLater repayment account* with a standing instruction^ through your preferred bank’s digital banking platform or by contacting your preferred bank directly.

 

* Your CIMB PayLater repayment account starts with 10xxxxxxxx.

^ If you are setting up a standing instruction, please check with your preferred bank on processing times and continue manual payments until it’s successfully established.

How do I request a refund for my product or service?

If you’d like to request a refund, please contact the seller or service provider directly. Refunds can only be processed if they are requested within two weeks from the purchase date.

Will the processing fee be refunded?

No, the processing fee charged at the point of application is non-refundable and cannot be waived.

Where can I find my CIMB PayLater repayment account details?

You can find your PayLater repayment account number in your approval letter and in your monthly statement, which is sent to your email.

Can I change the due date for my monthly repayment?

Unfortunately, the due date for your monthly repayment is fixed and cannot be changed. We recommend checking your monthly statement for the exact due date and planning your payments accordingly to avoid late fees.

Can I use my CIMB PayLater repayment account as a savings account?

Your CIMB PayLater repayment account is designed specifically for loan repayments, so it cannot be used as a savings account. If you're looking for a savings option, we’d be happy to help! You can explore our savings account offerings here.

How can I check my outstanding CIMB PayLater amount?

You can easily view your outstanding PayLater balance by following these steps:

 

  1. Log in to Clicks Internet Banking at https://www.cimbclicks.com.sg/clicks/ or use the CIMB Clicks mobile app.

  2. Navigate to Account Enquiry > Deposits & Loans.

  3. Select your CIMB PayLater account number to view your loan details, including the outstanding amount.

Can I repay in varying amounts?

No, repayments must be made in equal monthly instalments throughout your chosen tenure. 

     

Can I make partial repayments?

CIMB PayLater repayments follow a structured plan, so partial repayments aren’t available. 

     

What happens if I miss my payment due date?

If a payment isn’t made by the due date, a late fee of S$25 will be charged. To avoid additional charges, be sure to make all monthly payments (including any overdue amounts) by the specified due date.

     

Can I repay my CIMB PayLater loan early?

Yes, you can. To request early repayment, please contact our call center or visit our branch to provide your instruction. We will then issue an early redemption statement, detailing your total outstanding balance (including any fees and charges) and the due date for full payment.

 

If the full outstanding balance is not paid on or before the due date, the early redemption request will be invalid, and your monthly instalments will continue as usual.
